Dr. Lucy Pitney

Lucy completed her MBBS at Bond University in 2012, graduating with a Dean’s award for academic excellence. She spent two years at Nambour Hospital for her residency before following in her father Michael’s footsteps and undergoing 4 years of advanced dermatology training in Queensland’s major hospitals, completing her training in February 2021.

Lucy has a special interest in Medical Dermatology particularly eczema, children’s diseases, psoriasis, acne and immunobullous diseases. Pitney Dermatology also is fortunate to have both nbUVB and UVA1 phototherapy available onsite, which are effective and safe treatments for many difficult to treat skin diseases. Having worked in rural settings as well as busy metropolitan hospitals, Lucy also appreciates the importance of prompt assessment of patients with more serious skin diseases and is always happy to be contacted for an urgent opinion.

Lucy grew up in the western suburbs of Brisbane with a love of horse riding which was strongly fostered by her involvement with Brookfield Pony Club and was successful riding for her school at State level. When she isn’t riding she is usually found indulging her two very spoilt dachshunds Charlie and Coco or baking eccentric free-form biscuits.
