The Practice

Welcome to Pitney Dermatology, a family owned Dermatology practice in Toowong. Established in 1993 by Dr Michael Pitney, he has recently been joined by his daughter Dr Lucy Pitney in 2021. We specialise in providing the best care in medical dermatology, encompassing a wide range of conditions from rashes to skin checks and removal of small skin cancers with curettage. We pride ourselves on our small practice having a traditional approach with all services performed by our two doctors. In 2024 we welcome specialist dermatologist Dr Alison Lewin, and fondly farewell Dr Michael Pitney as he begins his retirement. Our group of dermatologists continue to welcome new and existing patients to our newly renovated Toowong practice.

Who is a Dermatologist

A dermatologist is an expert in medical problems affecting the hair, skin and nails. They have undergone rigorous training with a minimum of 4 years of medical school, 2 years of resident training in hospital, 4 years of specialty training in dermatology and passed the exit exams to become a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
